New site features
Our little Raptr dino is leveling up fast, bringing a slew of new upgrades to the site. A few of the new buffs include the following:
- BB code formatting — for those looking to add a little spice to their text. Just go easy on the bold function
- Verified user badges — for game developers, publisher representatives, and industry luminaries
- Privacy improvements — decide what you want displayed on your profile with enhanced controls in Account Settings
- Filter a post’s comments by the original poster — when you want to see what the OP had to say; especially handy for our Q&As
Joe Danger, Lost Saga Q&As and more
This Tuesday, 10/2, we will have Offensive Combat developers in for a Q&A session — U4ia Games’ co-founders Dusty Welch and Chris Archer, lead designer Michael Schorr, and community/narrative guy Jeremy Dunham, specifically. If you ever wanted to know what went into making this crazy FPS, now’s your chance — and we’ll be giving away both virtual in-game t-shirts along with their real-world versions to participants! Offensive Combat is in open beta now, so fire it up.
Last week saw a double dose of Raptr Q&A sessions, with [GM]Infamous of Lost Saga fame and Sean Murray of Joe Danger fielding questions on the site.
During our Lost Saga Q&A session last Friday, [GM]Infamous spoke about sponsoring your own events (with prizes!), what Heroes to expect when, the inspiration behind characters like V-Mech, and how to be lightning-fast with your keystrokes and win every time (possibly).
The other half of our dynamic Raptr Q&A duo was Sean Murray of Hello Games, who held a 24-hour marathon session regarding all things Joe Danger, his love of Super Monkey Ball and Sega, and a secret email address for those who set out for 100% completion of the first game (guess it’s not a secret anymore).
