About Us

Raptr and GameSpot Partnership is Now Live!

This is an exciting day for us here at Raptr. We have some pretty awesome partners already: Activision, THQ, Sony Online Entertainment… but this… this is big. Late last night, part 1 of the GameSpot/Raptr partnership went live. We’ve been in talks with them for a while and finally, after a few delays, it’s out there. Head over to Gamespot’s partner page to see the importance of the partnership straight from them.

So what’s going on in part 1? GameSpot is using our data to power their platform pages. Check out GameSpot’s Xbox 360 and PC pages to see “Most Played” games on Raptr.

Finally, each of their individual game pages has Raptr data. They pull the amount of players and hours, as well as the top 20 games on the platform.

This partnership is huge. We’re bringing the best parts of gaming together and this is just the beginning! What’s to come in part 2? Stay tuned to find out. You won’t be disappointed!

I’m not a big fan of Gamespot but this is HUGE for Raptr! Good job!

If you guys work out a way to synchronize our game lists between the sites, I will be a SUPER happy camper. I have about 300 games on there that I don’t want to re-add here!

    Awesome stuff!

Raptr no longer just gets a piece, but rather conquers the cake!

  4. I don’t use or like Gamespot anymore. I used to be a big person on Gamespot. But, then the whole thing with Jeff Gerstmann happened the people who I enjoyed on the site left and I just didn’t want to be a part of it any more. But, as long as the partnership doesn’t change my experience here I will be fine.

Up until the Gerstmann incident, there was a special place in my heart for Gamespot. I am no longer as active there as I used to. But maybe this partnership will re-spark my old love.

Don’t get me wrong, I like Raptr, but when you want to see how many people play games for how long, I think then Xfire’s data is much more meaningful.
